Agnes
Our beloved black kitty, Agnes was the inspiration for us opening up our own comic book store in 2002: Black Cat Comics in Rockin' Milpitas, California. This tiny bundle of love captured the hearts of all she met. She always found a lap to sit on, a face to lick and had a raging purr that could wake the dead. Agnes passed in 2012 after being with us for 19 years. We miss her every day.
Black Cat Comics
In 2002 Mark and Francie purchased a comic book store in Milpitas, CA and made it their own as Black Cat Comics. For nearly two decades, they lived their dream, working and playing at the best job in the world, slinging the four-colored funnies, sharing their love of comics and meeting a lot of great people along the way.
After 19 years (see Agnes above), they retired and went full-steam ahead with Black Cat Publishing.
Together Mark and Francie have over 75 years of combined experience, reading, creating, selling and promoting comics in all its art forms.
