A black cat approaches, do you let it cross your path, or run in the opposite direction? From the superstitious to the unlucky, from a witch's familiar to a soul stealing grave robber, black cats have captured our imagination and remain solidly in the realm of the dark. 

Join authors from around the world for never before published horror, dark fantasy and mystery stories and poems around the beloved, feared and mystical black cat.

We are delighted to showcase a diverse group of authors ranging in age from 17 to 80, some with multiple award winning publications under their belts, for others, this will be the first time seeing their work in print. Our talented authors stretch across the globe from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America bringing a unique perspective to their black cat stories and poems. 

Black Cat Tales will be available in English as an ebook, paperback. The final book will amount to approximately 62,000 words and includes 13 poems (25 lines or less) and 26 short stories ranging in length from 500 - 3500 words. Cover design is by the award winning Kealan Patrick Burke. 

After an open submission call with nearly 500 entries from around the world, the editors narrowed down their favorites and can't wait to bring you these brand new, never before published stories and poems. The author contracts have been signed and each story is currently in the editing stage. 

There is no use of A.I. or Artificial Intelligence in the making of Black Cat Tales. All story submissions were screened for A.I. and removed if A.I. was detected. The final selection of stories have not been written by or enhanced with the use of A.I..

Black Cat Chronicles are true tales of horror hosted by the Black Cat. This inaugural issue of the Black Cat Chronicles will showcase the story of Scotland's infamous Greyfriars Cemetery. The Greyfriars Cemetery is notorious for it's present day hauntings spurred on by one of the cemetery's most notorious residents, George 'Bluidy" MacKenzie. 

In this third issue: Black Cat Chronicles: Invasion Antarctica, we'll explore the deep mysteries in the coldest part of the world, Antarctica. 

Not only is Antarctica home to the some of the most bizarre creatures on the planet, it also boasts blood waterfalls and under ice volcanoes. But the natural wonders of the continent do not compare to the strange secret military operations conducted by the Nazis, United States and Britain just before, during and after World War II. 

Why would military resources, already stretched so thin, carry out expensive and dangerous expeditions to the most inhospitable location on the planet? What were they after and what, if anything, did they uncover?
